Organized by the Minnesota Museum of American Art in St. Paul, Our Treasures features 30 of the top artworks in the MMAA collection, chosen by the museum’s executive director Kristin Makholm. The exhibition includes works by such artists as Paul Manship, Robert Henri, Grant Wood, Louise Nevelson, George Morrison, Christo, and Wing Young Huie. The group of four DSU alumni from the s as well as an art graduate from the s will present their works in an Alumni Art Exhibition that will take place from Sept. in the DSU Art Center Gallery on campus. The exhibition will be free and open to the public from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Mondays thru Fridays during that period.
Works by two Cranbrook Academy of Art alumni are included in a new exhibition, Alternative Testimony, which opens at David Klein Gallery February Photography by Cyrus Karimipour (Photography ’06), Aspen Mays, Brittany Nelson (Photography ’11), and Meghann Riepenhoff makes up the exhibition showing artists utilizing traditional and historical processes in .
